Sféra, a.s. was a typical software company focused on development of "graphic information systems"; still in the company logo; at the beginning of nineties. Slovenské elektrárne, a.s. and Západoslovenská energetika, a.s. are our customers from the beginning; that is why we decided to invest in education and gaining specialist educated in energetic. We created teams of specialist educated in both IT and energetic. After 19 years of operating in domestic and also foreign market our activity can be divided into:
- software applications and company information system provider
- complex professional service with delivered systems
- partner for advisory and consulting service
We begun with information system based on XMatik.NET® for support and automation of processes of asset management, technical documentation, maintenance management, diagnostics and whole equipment life cycle, with GIS platform including map and cadastral information. The good reputation of our company increased by implementation of MicroGRAP/RS® in companies in both Slovak and Czech Republic which was intended to CAD support of processes of projection of heavy current distribution. Dynamic development of solutions and services in electricity trading is our current business. We joined to process of liberalization of electricity market in Slovakia in the beginning with our solutions, services and later with consulting service. The predecessor of XMtrade® was dedicated to support of electricity consumption process and implemented in our key customer Slovenske elektrarne, a.s. in 1996. It also solves support of billing processes and now it becomes a complex deviation billing system for one of our key customer Slovenská elektrizačná prenosová sústava, a.s. Other modules of XMtrade® are designed for support of processes of trading, delivery, consumption and production of electricity for subjects operating in electricity market. The vision of the company is to present XMtrade® as a complex multiutility system for support of energy management processes. Our professionalism in energy sector is confirmed by our active participation in legislative processes in electro-energy – cooperation with URSO (Regulatory Office for Network Industries), transmission system operator and also customers, which need accommodate internal rules to changes in energy legislation. We organize specialized conference ENERGOFÓRUM® with the participation of Slovak and Czech energy experts from the 2006. New activities of our company are supported by URSO – we obtained a business licence in the energy sector. This trend is not a happenstance but it is a result of long-time company strategy where the energetic is the top priority of our interest. Our plan for the future is to offer our software solutions but mainly related professional service with high added value. The company strategy set the trend of increasing value and share of professional advisory and consulting service in energety sector.
